Surface treatment: Gold plating

Gold plating

It has excellent electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. Additionally, due to its excellent light reflectivity, it is widely used as a decorative surface treatment. Neodymium magnets are often coated with nickel plating on the base. Note that gold plating is different from gold-colored plating.

Nickel alternative Cu-Sn alloy plating FC-X

It is a neutral tin-copper alloy plating that does not contain cyanide compounds.

Traditionally, the plating for nickel allergy has primarily been copper-tin alloy plating using cyanide. This copper-tin binary alloy plating is a neutral nickel alternative plating solution that does not use any harmful substances such as cyanide compounds or fluorides. It is a non-magnetic plating with a shiny white appearance. For more details, please contact us.

Introduction to Basic Knowledge: "Electroless Nickel and Gold Plating"

Introducing the features of engineering and processing. Presenting the company brochure.

"Electroless plating" involves applying a catalyst to the surface of a material and precipitating metal through a chemical reduction reaction. It does not use electricity due to the chemical reaction. There is a high degree of freedom in substrate pattern design, and it can utilize either reduction reactions or surface metal replacement reactions. 【Features】 ■ Gold plating is a replacement reaction, resulting in a thickness of approximately 0.03 to 0.05 μm. ■ Tends to have less variation compared to electroplating. ■ There are methods that utilize reduction reactions as well. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Melted zinc-tin alloy plating "KSG plating"

Usable from thin sizes! RoHS compliant product with corrosion resistance equivalent to hot-dip galvanizing.

KSG plating is a zinc-tin alloy plating. We have been developing it independently for over 20 years, repeatedly improving it to complete the current method. While there are alloy platings that include tin in the field of electroplating, the molten tin alloy is a technology handled only by Kowa Industrial. Additionally, by adopting a centrifugal method, it prevents accumulation and enables the reduction of subsequent processes, achieving high quality at low cost. 【Features】 - Corrosion resistance is almost equivalent to that of molten zinc plating and is relatively strong in acidic environments. - Salt damage resistance is superior to that of molten zinc plating. For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Melted zinc-aluminum alloy plating "SG plating"

In the salt spray test, it has ten times the corrosion resistance of conventional hot-dip galvanized coatings.

SG plating is a molten zinc alloy plating system consisting of 5% aluminum and 1% magnesium. It is an alloy based on zinc, developed with technical support from Mitsui Mining & Smelting under the name "Super Galva," and has incorporated unique technologies from Kowa Industrial for over 20 years. While zinc-based alloys with approximately 5% aluminum have been commercialized in the steel sheet sector by blast furnace manufacturers, with JIS standards established, such plating is often technically challenging in the general molten zinc plating field, and this type of plating is rarely performed. Furthermore, there are no other facilities boasting a production capacity of 3,000 tons/month with an 8-meter large kettle for alloy plating. SG plating has a proven track record in harsh environments prone to corrosion from salt damage, such as coastal areas and heavy snowfall regions. Recently, in collaboration with Nippon Steel, we have successfully developed high corrosion-resistant steel pipes. By combining Nippon Steel's "Strong Seam," which has a proven track record as a well-processable steel pipe, with SG plating, we have achieved steel pipes that excel in corrosion resistance and processability. 【Features】 - Exceptional corrosion resistance - Excellent as a base for painting - Powerful enough to handle large-scale production - Environmentally friendly surface treatment For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
